Sai Umar ya gabato zuwa gidan Zahra (s) ya na rike da wuta, da nufin ya kona gidan idan sun ki fita su yi bai’a, sai ga Zahra (a) ta zo kofan shiga gidanta, ta kuma gansu, sai tace: Ya dan Khaddabi ka zo don ka kona gidammu ne? sai ya amsa: Ee, sai in kun shiga karkashin abinda mutane suka amince da shi.
A cikin Tarihin Tabari, da al-imama wassiya na Ibn Kutaiba, da sharhin Nahjul Balaha na ibn abil hadidi duk sun cewa: Sai Umar yace a kawo garwashin wuta, wallahi ko inkona gidan a kansu, ko su fito su yi bai’a. …a wani hadisin ya ce (Umar) ko ku fito zuwa bai’a ko in kona.
